Project overview
A client monitoring bot for Ministry-owned land only on Saudi Arabia's Sakani platform. It checks availability every minute and sends a Telegram alert when it detects a change.
Workflow
- Puppeteer opens a browser and reaches the Sakani land API.
- The bot parses the response and stores results in SQLite.
- Each scheduled check compares current availability with the previous result.
- If availability changes, such as a drop from 10 units to 7, it fetches land details and sends a Telegram alert.
Challenges
- Reducing manual checks for land availability.
- Tracking changes in time to notify the client.
- Loading map-dependent content before querying the API.
- Working through Cloudflare protection that blocks ordinary HTTP scraping tools.
Technical notes
Puppeteer renders the required map layer before API requests. GPU rendering is disabled for lower-cost servers. The monitoring scope stays limited to Ministry-owned land, as requested by the client.
